This essay for me was the most complicated because I had a hard time choosing a topic. I decided to look at the things I love which for me will always be soccer. I then looked at some big topic that has been around the sport and so I came to a conclusion that I will write about whether Equal pay in the professional sports world should be a thing. In the past without knowing much about the business side of sports, I used to think that yea equal pay should be a thing but then as I got older, I started to realize that there should not be equal pay.
Sports nowadays is all about business, I mean at least in soccer it is, and so we have to look at everything. This was once a big problem as it started getting headlines. When we look at the revenue that the Men team receives compared to the women, it's just too big of a difference. That's what made me decide to write my paper on whether equal pay should be a thing. I feel like this was in fact the right topic for me.
